Diki Omeje - The last Poet - rest in peace

Its been a sad weekend,

the untimely death of the Manchester Poet and artist, diki. I had not seen him in years, not since school days in fact. At the age of 34 he succumed to hodgkinsons nymphoma (cancer). I paid my respects to his mother, and his siblings. There were no words i could really say to numb or take away the pain. the only thing I could offer was my presence of just being there.

I had not known of his writings and his talent, a talent that always existed but was hidden, well hidden in those early years at school.

It goes to show how fickle this life is, and how near to death we all really are. he may be gone but his writings are here to stay .................
